Training Programmes

From your first letter of credit to CDCS certification.

Three taught tracks that ladder together, and a catalogue of focused courses on every ICC rulebook a trade desk works under — for individuals, and delivered in-house for bank and corporate teams.

The three tracks

Build the expertise, then certify it.

Each track assumes the one before it. Join at the level that matches what you already handle.
  1. 0116 hours

    Basics of Trade

An overview of international trade and the risk each side carries, then the four methods of payment — advance payment, open account, documentary collections and letters of credit — set out so you can see exactly what protection each one buys, and what it costs the other party. The right starting point for anyone new to a trade desk.

  2. 0232 hours

    Trade Finance — Advanced Module

The instruments and the rulebooks applied to real transactions: UCP 600 and ISBP 821 in document examination, transport and insurance documents, specialised structures such as transferable and back-to-back credits, standbys and guarantees, collections under URC 522, and sanctions screening. Built for practitioners who already handle credits and want to stop being surprised by them.

  3. 03100 hours

    CDCS Certification Preparation

The full certification programme — eight modules, discrepancy drills on genuine document sets, timed mock exams marked with individual feedback, and direct faculty access through to your exam date.

A line about your role and what you handle day to day is enough for us to say which programme fits — or whether you should start with a single rulebook course instead.
